08 Oct Autumn Pumpkins and Flowers…Yes Please!
I am ALWAYS drawn to Autumn flowers, Autumn weather, Autumn spices, and especially Autumn pumpkins! I love thinking about how I can be creative and make pumpkins the star of my home decor! I’ve done so many flower pumpkins over the years and it never gets boring. To be honest, I love decorating pumpkins with flowers way more than carving them 😉 I pretty much love ALL Fall/Autumn decor. I wish the season was twice as long so I could keep the house decorated for twice as long 😉
I love making a pumpkin out of fresh flowers, as much as I love making fresh flower arrangements out of pumpkins! (Did you get that?) Pumpkins as the inspiration, and pumpkins as the actual container 😉 As you can see, all the different colors of chrysanthemums are the perfect flowers for these kinds of arrangements!
One of my FAV combos is pumpkins and succulents like this photo above (courtesy of Brit and Co). I LOVE THIS so much!! Of course, the moss finishes it off perfectly!
I saw this photo from Better Homes and Gardens and love this idea of lining the driveway with a row of orange pumpkins! How clever! The rows of mum plants are fabulous too.
This gorgeous rectangle box pumpkin centerpiece is super pretty. (photo courtesy of centsiblechateau.com) I love it with the white candles. I love a long statement centerpiece that takes up most of the table! It’s so festive and screams FALL IS FABULOUS!
This classic mum flower pumpkin is so easy to do and I love to give them as gifts or add them to my home decor! I used a round wet floral foam sphere (that you can get from Michaels or on Amazon) and the green stems are actually upside-down sunflower stems! Even in an old box, I think they are charming! You should go get some orange chrysanthemums and try it for yourself! You will be hooked!
